Forever - A Flying Unicorn June KOM Creation

Have you checked out this month's challenges over at the Flying Unicorn Forums?  When I saw Alda's inventive Tic-Tac-Go challenge I couldn't wait to play along.  Here is what I came up with, featuring papers and embellies from the June "A Ray of Magic" kit of the month.

Here is the challenge matrix - you have to make a line either horizontally, vertically or diagonally and make a layout using all of the items in each square.  I chose to do a horizontal line straight down the center.

I used last week's amazing Mojo Monday sketch for inspiration.  There is a new one every week in our challenges thread with a chance to win a gift certificate to the Flying Unicorn store.

Here are some closeups.  I used Ceramic Stucco for most of my masking - I love the texture it gives.  The metal flowers are new Flying Unicorn Adornments coming to the store this week - I am in love with all the new pieces!

There are some fantastic canvas embellishments in this kit, including the banner pieces in the picture below and the canvas fringe in the second picture down.

The background and flowers are misted with the Fireworks sprays included in the kit.  This was my first time using Fireworks, and I really like the way they turned out!  The mist kind of sits on top of your flowers and papers rather than seeping in, meaning that you get really good coverage without having to saturate.

The Dusty Attic border is included in the kit; I embossed it first with Stampendous Aged Embossing Enamel in Ivory and then in Lindy's Stamp Gang Reindeer Moss Green for three toned color.

I hope you snapped up your June kit - they sold out in less than 12 hours!  Our Mixed Media Kit of the Month will be released June 15th at 12:01am EST - get yours quickly if you don't want to miss out.  I'm working with mine now, and oh-la, you're in for a treat!

Thanks for stopping by!
